Function Component of the T4SS AvhB (Agrobacterium virulence homologue virB) that mediates the conjugal transfer of the pAtC58 cryptic plasmid between cells of Agrobacterium. The pAtC58 transfer occurs predominantly under soil and rhizosphere conditions in the absence of tumor or plant wound sites, suggesting that this plasmid may play a key role in these environments.
Miscellaneus Both, pRSF1010 and pTiC58 inhibit conjugal transfer of pAtC58, suggesting an overlap between these delivery systems.
