ORF information
ORF ID TF01170 (frame 1) Gene ID Atu6179
Position and sequences 194449...195057(202 aa) Gene Name/synonym virC2 -
Organism Agrobacterium tumefaciens C58 UWash Cluster 4 genes
Product Protein VirC2
1stcategory P-T4SS 2ndcategory VirC2 Family
3rdcategory T-DNA translocator
Function Component of the T4SS VirB/D4 required for the translocation of the virulence factors (VirE2, VirF and the VirD2-T-DNA complex) to plant cells. VirC1 is a component of a DNA transfer and replication (Dtr) protein. Together with VirC1, VirC2 stimulates relaxosome assembly at D-TNA border sequences.
Miscellaneus VirC2 belongs to the ParA/MinD ATPase superfamily.
